Probate & Estate Administration

This area of the law involves what happens with a person's assets after their death.

It is not always necessary to obtain a grant of probate and this depends largely on the assets held by the deceased and the contents of the will.

Probate

Probate is the process whereby the assets of an estate can be dealt with in accordance with the Will of the deceased.

The latest Will of the deceased is reviewed and initial enquiries are made to determine the assets of the deceased and their value. The Will is then approved by the Court and assets of the estate are then distributed by the executors appointed by the deceased in accordance with the Will.
